Learning to dance is a wonderful experience, as well as physical fitness, dance training provides many skills such as self confidence, co-ordination, creativity and team work, but most of all provides your child with a way to express themselves which is fun and inspiring.

At Encore School of Dance, lessons can be taken in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz with exams been taken in these genres under the ISTD syllabus.  The school has a 100% pass rate in exams with the majority gaining distinctions and high merits.  Non exam dance classes can also be taken in Latin, Ballroom, Jazz, & Musical Theatre.  Zumba fitness classes are also held at the studio with other adult classes including an adult ballet workout and adult tap.  Private lessons are also available aswell as wedding dances and workshops.

Classes are held in Northallerton in our new studio on Standard Way (next to kidzplay), we have a brand new sprung dance floor in the studio, waiting area for parents and other facilities.  Our numbers are continually growing through word of mouth from mums and dads at the school gates!

Classes can be taken from 3 years all the way up to adults, with a variety of classes held for each age range.

Miss Helen who runs the school is fully qualified with the ISTD and continues with her qualifications through various courses and qualifications, is CRB checked and holds a first aid for dance certificate aswell as all STCW95 /Solas certificates.

Newcomers are always welcome whether they are beginners or not!  A welcome pack available for all new students provides all the information you require and a termly newsletter keeps you up to date with anything extra!

Miss Helen also teaches in Primary schools during term time, some of these schools include Croft, Sacred Heart, Middleton Tyas and many others in the area.  She also teaches at holiday clubs run through the schools. 

Workshops for primary schools can also be booked.  There are a number of themes available and new ideas of themes can usually be tailored to a schools needs.  Have a school play coming up?  Then why not think about having Helen in to choreograph numbers and dances?

Summer Schools and Easter Schools are run each year, usually in the form of Musical Theatre.  This is a chance for students to try something different from class.  Past MT Schools have included The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and numbers from the Musicals, The King & I and The Wizard of Oz.  In future I hope to be running Musical Theatre classes on a weekly basis.  Summer & Easter Schools are open to all, not just ESOD Pupils.  Last years Easter & Summer schools were a great sucess and fun was had by all, in performing and also in craft and prop making sessions!

Disney Themed Workshops - Ages 3-6 years.  Book one day or as many days as the workshops run.  Different theme each day.  Boys and girls welcome.  Discount for block booking.  Non dance school members welcome!
